It is the mission of the Colusa Indian Community Council to improve the communities around us and to enhance the lives of the people in those communities. In the tradition of supporting wellness in the community, the Tribe in conjunction with the Colusa Casino Resort, created a Community Development Program which operates as the Colusa Community Foundation. The Foundation contributes generously to the local community. To this end, we focus our charitable resources at the community level and try to help as many deserving organizations as possible. In addition, the Foundation supports organizations by donating the use of Resort facilities and catering services to host charitable events. 

We are deeply committed to the belief that everyone in a community should contribute to its well-being. Since 2001, the Tribe has granted more than $2.6 million to many local organizations including, local law enforcement, volunteer firefighters, sports teams, area schools and educational programs, and civic organizations. If you share in this belief, then we encourage you to play a significant role in your community.  

Those seeking funding for community project or our assistance with fundraising programs will be asked to complete an application in its entirety.

To be considered for a donation or sponsorship you must submit a written request with all supporting documentation to the Community Development Program via email, fax, or mail to the address listed below. All requests must be received at least 60 days before the requested donation or sponsorship is needed. Written requests must be either on official organization letterhead or on personal stationery that includes the return address and phone number of the person or organization submitting the request. Your request will be screened and reviewed for consideration. Due to the large amount of requests we receive, please do not call to inquire on the status of your application until the 60 days has lapsed. We will respond to your request, regardless of the outcome in a timely manner.
